Abstract:

The Baltic geography has been of particular importance for countries that are aimed at ensuring the integrity of Eurasia if necessary. This has led to an increased interest in the Baltic geography. But this interest of the countries with interests in the region has too annoyed the Baltic people and has led to years of identity identification and struggle for independence. So the people living in the Baltic region witnessed in similar conditions to history. German and Russian interventions, the independence achieved between the two wars and the Soviet process all of them have been simultaneously affected by the Baltic countries. Latvia is located in the middle of Estonia and Lithuania. It has not been independent of the developments that have occurred in the Baltic geography. While the other two Baltic countries have preferred Western-axis foreign policy after independence, Latvia has not been ignorant of this situation. This article discussed the history of Latvia and the current Latvian foreign policy preferences. Therefore, the main purpose of this article was to acquire information about the Baltic geography in Latvia.
