Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania have long been located in the Baltic geography as three separate states. Each of these states had different ethnic, political and cultural structures. But throughout history, geography has presented similar threats and possibilities to these states. Lithuania is closer to Central Europe than the other two Baltic countries. This has led Lithuania to a more distant policy to its Baltic countries. In particular, the unification with Lehistan for a certain period of time under a single state roof has made the people of Lithuania feel closer to the Central European family. But Lithuania has not been able to protect itself from experiencing similar painful experiences as in the other two Baltic countries. Today, it wants to maintain relations with Western communities to maintain the stability of Lithuanian independence, which wants to eliminate the painful experiences of the past. In this regard, membership in Western international organizations was the main foreign policy objective. But its geographical position has prevented Lithuania from completely turning back to the east, that is, the Russian Federation. The continuation of the relationship with the Russian Federation has made Lithuania more than an obligation. This article reflects the interest of the Western and Eastern civilizations against Lithuania, one of the Baltic triangles, and the reaction of the Lithuanian people to this interest.
