Abstract:

This article examines how the presumed problematic general acceptance that is included in the Turkish society is represented in the day-to-day generation programs for women. In this context, 3 examples from 3 national television channels have been selected, taking into account the current rates of viewing in our country. Atv's "Müge Anlı with Sweet Hard, Show TV with Seda and Uğur, Star TV with Balçiçek Ilter's Event Place" of these three programs has been randomly selected and a total of 9 sections, including 3 sections, has been qualitative and quantitative content analysis and has been studied representatively in the context of the social sex role of the woman. The study used the agenda determination model developed by Mc Combs and Shaw. This is due to the fact that when we move from the general acceptance that the media determines the agenda, women’s programs also determine the agenda by the topics and categories that women choose. The study found that day-to-day women’s programs strengthen the social gender inequality that exists in the country. This situation is confirmed in television shows, especially in the examples of Seda and Uğur and Müge Anlı with Sweet Hard. According to the examples reviewed, all the programs published have not been said to be problematic, but have been found to have problematic statements. But Balçiçek Ilter and the Event Place program did not have a lot of space for gender statements while stating that they are against gender approach.
