Abstract:

The research was conducted with class teachers to determine how class teachers see themselves about using methods and techniques in math courses and their preferred rankings. The data was collected in a form consisting of very sufficient, sufficient and insufficient degrees developed by the researcher's "Personal Information Form" and Noble (2009). The data was created by both taking the opinions of class teachers and by evaluating the class teachers of the practice that class teachers candidates observed. These research data conducted with the scan model have been analyzed with SPSS 16. A percentage of data is used in the assessment. According to the results obtained, classmates find themselves sufficient in ‘question-response’ and ‘view-making’; they find themselves sufficient in ‘rules’ and ‘definitions’. When the class teachers teach a subject in mathematics, the methods and techniques they prefer are used: ‘cooperative’, ‘direct narration’, ‘question answer’, ‘see and do’ and ‘problem solving and setting up’.
