Ortaokul 7. Sınıf Rasyonel Sayılar Konusunun Öğretiminde Kavram Haritası Kullanımının Öğrencinin Akademik Başarısına ve Tutumuna Etkisi

Bu çalışmanın amacı, ortaokul 7. sınıf Rasyonel Sayılar konusunun öğretiminde kavram haritası kullanımının akademik başarıya ve matematik tutumuna etkisinin incelenmesidir. Bu amaç doğrultusunda kolayca erişilebilir örneklem grubu tercih edilmiştir. Çalışma grubu Elazığ ili, 2018-2019 eğitim öğretim yılında MEB’e bağlı eğitim kurumunda öğrenim gören 58 öğrenciden oluşmaktadır. Araştırmada deneysel desenlerden ön-test, son-test ve kontrol gruplu yarı deneysel desen kullanılmıştır. Deney ve kontrol grupları ortaokuldaki 4 şubeden seçilmiştir. Dersler deney grubunda kavram haritası destekli öğretim yöntemi ile kontrol grubunda ise hiçbir müdahale yapılmadan işlenmiştir. Öğrencilerin Rasyonel Sayılar konusuna dair akademik başarısı MEB tarafından yayınlanan “Rasyonel Sayılar Kazanım Testi”, matematik dersine ilişkin tutumları ise Eğitim Araştırma Geliştirme Dairesi Başkanlığı (EARGED) tarafından geliştirilen “Matematik Tutum Ölçeği” aracılığıyla elde edilmiştir. Bu çalışmada veri toplama araçlarından elde edilen veriler SPSS 21 paket programı kullanılarak deney ve kontrol gruplarına ait analizler gerçekleştirilmiştir. Çalışma sonucunda, uygulanan program öncesinde bilgi düzeyleri ve matematik dersine karşı tutumları açısından birbirine denk olan grupların uygulanan program sonrasında hem akademik başarı hem de matematik dersine yönelik tutum açısından deney grubu lehine istatistiksel olarak anlamlı bir farklılık olduğu görülmüştür.

High School 7. The impact of the use of concept map in teaching the subject of class rational numbers on the student's academic success and attitude

Abstract:

The aim of this study is to study the impact of the use of concept maps on academic success and mathematical attitude in the teaching of high school 7th class Rational numbers. For this purpose, a easy-to-access sample group was preferred. Working group Elazığ is composed of 58 students studying in the educational institution associated with MEB in the 2018-2019 educational year. The research has used semi-experimental patterns with pre-test, final-test and control group from experimental patterns. The experiment and control groups were selected from 4 branches in the high school. The lessons in the experiment group were processed without any intervention with the teaching method supported by the concept map. The academic success of students on the subject of Rational Numbers was achieved through the "Rational Numbers Achievement Test" published by MEB, while their attitudes to the mathematics course were achieved through the "Matematical Attitude Scale" developed by the Department of Education Research Development (EARGED). In this study, the data obtained from the data collection tools were analysed by the experiments and control groups using the SPSS 21 package program. The study found that the groups that were equal in terms of knowledge levels and attitudes to the mathematical course before the applied program had a statistically significant difference in the benefit of the experiment group in terms of both academic success and attitude to the mathematical course after the applied program.
