Etkileşimli Tahta Kullanımına İlişkin Fen Bilimleri Öğretmenlerinin Görüşleri

Abstract:

Teknolojik gelişmelerin hızla yayıldığı günümüz dünyasında, eğitim ortamlarının bu teknolojik gelişmelerden etkilenmemesi düşünülemez. Ülkemizde FATİH projesi kapsamında okullarda etkileşimli tahtalar kullanılmaya başlanmıştır. Bu bağlamda etkileşimli tahtaların kullanım avantajları veya dezavantajları, maliyeti, öğretmen ve öğrenci boyutunda etkileşimli tahtaların kullanımına ilişkin tutum ve görüşler bir çok çalışmanın konusu olmuştur. Bu çalışmada ise, fen bilimleri öğretmenlerinin etkileşimli tahta kullanımına ilişkin görüşleri değerlendirilmiştir. Bu amaç doğrultusunda çalışmada nitel araştırma desenlerinden olgu bilim (fenomonolojik) deseni kullanılmıştır. Araştırmanın çalışma grubunu ise Doğu Anadolu Bölgesinin bir ilinde görev yapan sekiz gönüllü fen bilimleri öğretmeni oluşturmaktadır. Çalışmada katılımcıların belirlenmesinde amaçlı örnekleme yöntemlerinden ölçüt ve maksimum çeşitlilik örneklemesi yöntemleri dikkkate alınarak seçilmiştir. Araştırma verileri yarı yapılandırılmış görüşme formu kullanılarak toplanmıştır. Araştırma sürecinde öğretmenler ile yapılan tüm görüşmeler ses kayıt cihazıyla kayıt altına alınmıştır. Çalışma sürecinde tüm görüşmeler 214 dakika sürmüş olup ses kayıtları ham veri olarak Mikrosoft Word programına aktarılmıştır. Görüşme verilerinin yorumlanması sürecinde ise betimsel analiz ve içerik analizi tekniği kullanılmış ve elde edilen veriler sayısallaştırılarak tablo olarak sunulmuştur. Araştırma sonucunda öğretmenler, etkileşimli tahtanın her derste kullanımının uygun olmadığı, etkileşimli tahtanın soyut kavramları somutlaştırdığı, etkileşimli tahta sayesinde öğrencilerinin derse aktif katılım sağladığı, kendilerinin de etkileşimli tahta kullanımı sayesinde sınıf hakimiyetini sağladıkları şeklinde görüşler aktarmışlardır. Bununla birlikte etkileşimli tahtadan internet erişiminde sorunlar yaşadıklarını, öğrencilerin etkileşimli tahta kullanımından kaynaklı olarak yaparak yaşayarak öğrenmeler gerçekleştiremedikleri yönünde olumsuz görüşleri de mevcuttur.

In today’s world where technological developments spread rapidly, it is unlikely that the educational environments are not affected by these technological developments. In our country, in the framework of the FATİH project, interactive tables have been used in schools. In this context, the advantages or disadvantages of the use of interactive plates, the cost, attitudes and opinions about the use of interactive plates in the teacher and student size have been the subject of many studies. In this study, the opinions of the teachers of science on the interactive use of the tree were evaluated. For this purpose in the study of the quality research patterns of the factual science (fenomonological) design was used. The study group consists of eight volunteer scientists working in an province of the East Anadolu Region. The study was selected by taking into account measurement and maximum diversity sample methods from the sample methods intended for the determination of participants. The research data was collected using a semi-configured interview form. All the conversations with teachers during the study were recorded with the audio recording device. During the work process, all conversations lasted 214 minutes and audio recordings were transferred to the Microsoft Word program as raw data. During the process of interpretation of the interview data, the visual analysis and content analysis techniques have been used and the data obtained are digitalized as a table. In the study, teachers have transmitted opinions in the form that the use of interactive table in each class is not suitable, that the interactive table concrete the abstract concepts, that the interactive table provides their students active participation in the class, and that they provide class dominance through the interactive table use. However, there are also negative opinions that they have problems with access to the Internet from the interactive table, and that students can’t realize learning by living through the use of the interactive table.

In this context, the advantages and disadvantages of using interactive boards, their costs, attitudes and opinions regarding the use of interactive boards in teacher and student dimensions have been the subject of many studies. In this study, the views of science teachers regarding the use of interactive boards were evaluated. In line with this purpose, the study was carried out with qualitative research methods, in accordance with the phenomenology design. The study group of the research consists of eight volunteer science teachers working in a province of the Eastern Anatolia Region. In determining the participants, the criteria and maximum diversity sampling methods were selected by considering the purposeful sampling methods. The research data were collected using a semi-structured interview form. During the research process, all interviews with teachers were recorded with a voice recorder. During the study process, all the interviews took 214 minutes and the voice recordings were transferred to Mikrosoft Word program as raw data. In the process of interpretation of the interview data, descriptive analysis and content analysis technique was used and the obtained data was digitized and presented as a table. As a result of the research, the teachers stated that the interactive board is not suitable for use in every lesson, the interactive board embodies the abstract concepts, the students participate actively in the lesson thanks to the interactive board, and they achieve the dominance of the classroom by using the interactive board. However, they also have negative views that they have problems in accessing the internet from the interactive board, and that students cannot make learning by experiencing by using the interactive board.
