Bu araştırmada kadın çalışanların işyerlerinde karşılaştıkları kariyer engellerinin, performanslarını ve örgütsel özdeşleşmelerini ne düzeyde etkilediğinin belirlenmesi amaçlanmıştır. Bu amaç doğrultusunda, Konya ilinde bankacılık sektöründe faaliyet gösteren hem kamu hem de özel bankaların şubelerinde çalışan toplam 150 kadın çalışana uygulanan anketlerden elde edilen veriler analiz edilmiştir. Anketlerde, kariyer engelleri ölçeği olarak Karaca (2007)’nın ölçeği; örgütsel özdeşleşme olarak orijinali Ashforth ve Mael (1989)’e ait olan ve Polat (2009) tarafından yapı geçerliliği tekrar doğrulanan ölçek ve Kirkman ve Rosen (1999) tarafından geliştirilmiş ve Gürbüz vd. (2010) tarafından Türkçeye uyarlanmış olan ölçek kullanılmıştır. Araştırma amacına ve kapsamına uygun olarak frekans, korelasyon ve regresyon analizleri yapılmıştır. Ayrıca faktör analizi ile de ölçeklerdeki faktörlerin geçerliliği test edilmiştir ve cronbach alfa değeri yardımıyla güvenilirlikleri hesaplanmıştır. Araştırma sonucunda, kariyer engellerinin performans üzerindeki etkisi (%71) ve örgütsel özdeşleşmenin kariyer engelleri üzerindeki etkisi (%83) istatiksel olarak anlamlı bulunmuştur.

Abstract:

The study aimed at determining the level of career obstacles that women workers face in their workplaces, their performance and their organizational identity. In accordance with this goal, the data obtained from the survey applied to a total of 150 women employees working in the public and private banks that operate in the banking sector in the province of Konya were analyzed. In the surveys, the scale of Karaca (2007) as the scale of career obstacles; the scale which belongs to the original Ashforth and Mael (1989) as organizational identification and is re-confirmed by Polat (2009) and developed by Kirkman and Rosen (1999) and Gürbüz vd. The scale was adapted to Turkey by 2010. According to the purpose and scope of the research, the analysis of frequency, correlation and regression was carried out. Factor analysis also tested the validity of factors in scales and the reliability was calculated with the help of the cronbach alpha value. The study found the impact of career barriers on performance (71) and the impact of organizational identification on career barriers (83) statistically meaningful.
