Abstract:

The aim of this study is to examine teachers' attitudes towards inclusion according to some variables. These variables are gender, faculty of graduation, type of school, seniority, status of taking courses or education related to inclusion, status of reading books related to inclusion and watching movies related to inclusion. The findings obtained within the scope of the study were obtained from 1342 teachers who participated in the trainings held within the scope of the project "Increasing the Awareness of Inclusion Class Teachers about Disabled Students" supported by the GAP administration headquartered in Şanlıurfa. In order to collect data in the study, the "Views on Inclusion Scale" developed by Ozbaba (2000) was used. The scale consists of 30 items in total. In the reliability analysis for the scale, the reliability coefficient (Cronbach Alpha) was calculated as ,92, and in the analysis conducted within the scope of this research, it was found as ,72. As a result of the research, a statistically significant difference was found at different levels in the variables of the faculty they graduated from, the type of school where teachers work, education related to inclusion, professional seniority, reading status and watching movies. There was no difference in gender variable.
