Abstract:

Poetry, though used in relation to other branches of art, is a field where more literature and more specifically poetry is focused. It responds to questions such as what the poem is, how we can distinguish it from other art or species, which characteristics should be outside the poem type. When we focus on a literary work we enter the limits of literary criticism, while when we focus on what literary work is, we enter the field of poetry. When the names that write poetry in the new Turkish literature are investigated, first of all the penses such as Ahmet Haşim, Orhan Veli Kanık, Necip Fazıl Kısakürek, Asaf Halet Çelebi, Salah Birsel are remembered. In recent years, new poetic texts are being produced. Murat Kapkıner, who is known by his novelists and poets, has added a new public to our poetry collection with his work, “Say A Thing About Poetry” published in 2001.
