Abstract:

The minstrelsy tradition in Turkish folk literature holds an important place. In addition to writing poems of the minstrel, the necessity to perform their poems with the instrument, the ministrelsy and the poem have made interest in Anatolia for centuries. Also bride symbol has an important place in Turkish folk culture. The bride motif takes part in the form of almost all types of Turkish literature. As one of the important representatives of Turkish folk poetry, we witness the works of Âşık Yaşar Reyhani’s various aspects of the bride motif. Aşık Yaşar Reyhani touched to bride subject works frequently. With describing the brides in the culture he lived, he indirectly wanted to create the image of the bride in his dream and at the same time he expressed his place in the society according to the conditions of the time. In the study, the Anatolian woman are discussed from different perspectives of bridal motifs in Reyhani’s works. Based on the determined poems with bridal motifs, the determined problems were searched for an answer. The research was conducted in the screening model and the current situation was detected
