Bu araştırma, Ordu üniversitesinde, Tıp Fakültesi ile Diş hekimliği Fakültesinde okuyan öğrencilerin beden eğitimi ve spor dersine karşı olan tutumlarını belirlemek amacıyla yapılmıştır. Araştırmaya 84’i kız 60’ı erkek olmak üzere toplam 144 öğrenci katılmıştır. Eğitimin vazgeçilmez bir unsuru olan beden eğitimi genel eğitimin bir tamamlayıcısıdır. Öğrencilerin anaokulundan itibaren sporu bir alışkanlık haline getirmesinde, kişinin fiziksel, ruhsal, sosyal ve motorik olarak gelişmesindeki katkısı günümüz de yadsınamaz bir gerçektir. Çocuklara, gençlere ve gelecek nesillere spor ruhunu, kültürünü verebilmek okullar aracılığı ile olmakta ve beden eğitimi dersi de bireyi fiziksel aktiviteye yönlendirmede önemli bir rol oynamaktadır. Bu sebeplerden dolayı beden eğitimi derslerine karşı olumlu tutum geliştirmek beden eğitimi ders programlarının temel amacı olduğu görülmektedir. Araştırmamızda öğrenci tutumlarının ölçülmesi için Demirhan ve Altay (2001) tarafından geliştirilen, 12’si olumlu ve 12’si olumsuz toplam 24 maddeden oluşan “Beden Eğitimi ve Spor Tutum Ölçeği (BESTÖ)” kullanılmıştır. Öğrencilerin tutum ölçek puanları çeşitli değişkenlere göre (cinsiyet, sınıf, okul dışı boş zamanlarınızda egzersiz, düzenli olarak spor yapma ve spor branşında lisans sahibi olma) incelenmiş ve verilerin frekans (f), yüzde (%), aritmetik ortalama ( ) ve standart sapma ( ) değerleri hesaplanmıştır. This research is aimed to be made to determine the attitudes of the students towards Physical Education and Sports course who study in Faculty of Medicine and Faculty of Dentistry. 84 girls and 60 boys, totally 144 students, took part in the research. Physical Education which is an indispensable component of education, is a supplementary of general education. Contribution of person’s physical, emotional, social and motional development is an undeniable truth nowadays when students form sports as a habit since their pre-school education. Transferring the spirit and culture of the sports to children, young people and next generations aremade by schools and Physical Education course also plays an important role to direct the individual to physical activity. For this reason, it is seen that the maim purpose of Physical Education course programmes is developing positive attitude to Physical Education courses.In our research,for measuring students’ attitude,’ Physical Education and Sports Attitude Measure(PESAM) developed by Demirhan And Altay (2001) was used which has 12 positive, 12 negative, totally 24 items. Students attitude measure points were studied according to various varieties (gender,class,doing exercises during free time,doing sports regularly and having license in a sports branch) and the frequency (f), percentage (%), arithmetic average ( )and standard deviation ( ) of datas were measured.
