Abstract:

Sözcük öğreniminde en önemli araçlardan biri sözlüklerdir. İlk sözcüklerini ailede öğrenen birey, sözcük hazinesini daha sonra çeşitli yollarla geliştirir. Bireyin aileden ortamında öğrendiği sözcüklerden sonra öğreneceği bütün sözcüklerde sözlükler ilk başvuru yapıtlarıdır. Bu sözlükler içerisinden ise ilköğretim sözlükleri gelir. İlköğretim sözlükleri, okul çağındaki çocukların bilmedikleri sözcükleri öğrenmeleri için başvuru kaynağı olacaklarından, barındırdığı sözcükler çocuk kitaplarından oluşmalı, örnekler de çocuk algısına uyarlı olmalıdır.
