Abstract:

One of the most important sources of the Ottoman history, the Sheriye registers contain important information on many administrative, political, socio-economic topics. The article examines the property sales records in the 1703 Sherry Registry, one of the books of Rodoscuk, which has great importance due to its geographical location, which has never been reviewed until now. Rodoscuk, which was under the Ottoman domination immediately after the Ottoman passes to Trakya, is a small but quite important port city founded on the Marmara Sea coast. In this importance, Rodoscuk played the role in Istanbul's leadership. For the purpose of meeting the needs of the palace and the people of Istanbul, products such as grain, rice, iron brought from almost every corner of the empire were sent to Istanbul through this port city. The study first determined the neighborhoods and neighborhoods in which different ethnic and religious groups lived and then the average sales price range in neighborhoods and neighborhoods was determined through the property sales in these neighborhoods and neighborhoods. Property sales in neighborhoods and neighborhoods have finally been determined that there are more property sales in neighborhoods and neighborhoods where the non-Muslims live intensely and that the Zimms tend to acquire more property than the Muslims.
