Abstract:

The first number of people in the Ottoman Empire. It was built in the Mahmut period between 1830-1831. In this population count, the goal is to identify the military potential of the state and the tax sources (especially to identify the debtors for the charges to be taken from non-Muslims). The other purpose is to reveal the Muslim and non-Muslim population living in the country. This number contains only male population. After the first general population census made in 1831, regional or general population census were made on different dates, such as 1844, 1852, 1856, 1866, 1881/82 and 1905, and the records were tried to be kept up to date. In this study, the Divle Village Population Register of 1833 was studied, XIX. In the middle of the century it was focused on the socio-economic structure of the squares connected to the Divle Village. According to the records, in 1833 Divle Village has 6 quarters with the names "Kureyş-i Kebîr, Baş Başışlı, Çat, Kureyş-i Sağîr, Karamanî and Berendi". The population density is generally located in the center of the Divle Village. In the whole village, the core family structure is seen, in the houses men usually live between 1-3. Our age chart shows that children between 0-4 years and the middle age group between 30-34 years are intense. The households are mostly made up of farmers and shepherds.
