Abstract:

Some people lose a part of their body or some senses as a result of diseases or accidents they suffer during or after birth. This prevents them from performing certain tasks in the society they live in. Being disabled is no one’s preference. With regard to their causes, individuals who have a normal and healthy life are also predicted to be disabled for every moment. The purpose of this study is to determine the condition by examining their balance abilities in children with birth or later hearing disabilities. The distribution average for the physical characteristics of the subjects involved in the study was included in a total of 10 volunteers with age 11.80±4,54 years, average size 138±020 cm, body weight 37.80±16,89 kg. In the study, static balance tests were evaluated for children with hearing disabilities to open eyes closed. When we look at the values of the Open Eye Balance Measures of the balances resulting from the study, the pressure to the central point is 50±3,47 (c.o.p.y), the pressure to the y center is -1,90±4,70 (c.o.p.y), the standard front-to-back deviations are 6.60±2.63 (f.b.s.d), the standard left-to-right deviations are 4.40±2.63 (m.l.s.d), the average front-to-back speed is 11.50±3.65 (a.f.b.s), the average left-to-right speed is 7.40±3.89 (a.m.l.s), the surrounding diameter is 396.70±138.85 (perimeter), the area applied is 633.105±176.176. When we look at the closed eye balance measurements involved in our study, the pressure to the central point is -.20±6.84 (c.o.p.x). The pressure on the y axis is -6.20±17.98 (c.o.p. y) the standard front-to-back deviations are 7.50±5.44 (F.B.S.D), the standard left-to-right deviations are 4.00±3.12 (M.L.S.D), the average front-to-back speed is 14.104.38 (A.F±.B.S), the average left-to-right speed is 7.10±3.24 (A.M.L.S), the surround diameter is 445.00±138.72 (PERIMETER), the area applied is 712.20±1009.34 (ELLIPSE). When compared to other healthy children in literature, it has been found that static romberg levels in children with hearing disabilities are weak compared to other healthy individuals.
