Bu çalışmayla yapılandırmacı öğrenme-öğretme çevresi açısından 6. sınıf Türkçe öğretim programına ve sınıf içi uygulamalara ilişkin öğretmen görüşleri belirlenmeye çalışılmıştır. Araştırmada alt, orta ve üst sosyoekonomik statüye sahip okullarda görev yapan 17 öğretmen ile görüşme yapılmış ve elde edilen veriler nitel analiz tekniklerine uygun olarak çözümlenmiştir. Araştırmaya ilişkin verilerin toplanmasında 19 sorudan oluşan yarı yapılandırılmış görüşme formu kullanılmıştır. Araştırma bulguları incelendiğinde öğretmenlerin programın niteliğine ve uygulanabilirliğine yönelik görüşleri ile çalıştıkları okulların sosyo-ekonomik statüsü arasında ilişki olduğu görülmüştür. Ayrıca öğretmenlerin yapılandırmacı öğrenme yaklaşımına bazı hususlarda hakim olmadıkları ve bu yaklaşıma uygun öğrenme ortamları oluşturmaktan çok sınıf yönetiminde öğretmen merkezli geleneksel yaklaşımı benimsedikleri belirlenmiştir. Çalışma sonuçları öğretmen görüşlerinin okulların sosyo-ekonomik statüsüne göre değiştiğini göstermektedir
The aim of the research is to determine the Turkish teachers’ perspectives on 6th grade Turkish curriculum and in-class practices in terms of constructivist teaching and learning environment. The participants of the study consisted of seventeen Turkish teachers working in lower, middle and upper socio-economic status schools. Findings of the study is analyzed with quantitive techniques.Semi-structured interview form consisted of 19 questions is used as a data gathering tool in research. As a result, when findings of this study are examined, it is seen that Turkish teachers are not confident in constructivist teaching and learning approach. Beside they tend to use traditonal teaching methods and technics. The results of the study show that teachers’ views show differences depending on the schools’ socio-economic status as well
