Abstract:

In this study, the relationship between tourism revenues and economic growth in Turkey were examined using VAR analysis using annual data for the period 1980-2016. Cointegration and causality analysis were used in determination of the relationship between short and long-term tourism revenues and economic growth in Turkey.  The results of the analysis show that there is a relationship between the variables in short and long term, from tourism income towards economic growth. It is concluded that tourism revenues have an impact on economic growth
