Abstract:

Central placement exams are an exam that is believed to be important for students in placing in the university and choosing a profession. In this regard, it is important to get the opinions of teachers and students about the exam. This research aims to reveal the Center Placement Exam System based on the opinions of teachers and students. In the research method of quality research, the model of state study was used. The research work group consists of 47 teachers working in the five faculties of the Middle School in the Mardin Ili Kızıltepe District in the 2017-2018 educational-educational year and 60 students studying in these schools. Working group is created by determining the method of sampling for purpose. The data of the research was obtained through the interview form developed by the researcher. The data is subject to content analysis. The outcome results are coded and themes are created according to the results. According to the findings obtained, teachers and students have made an assessment of the exam system. According to the teachers and students’ opinions, the students prepared according to the TEOG exam at the beginning of the year, the new exam system affected students psychologically negatively, reduced motivation, reduced interest in the class, negatively affected socialization, and led to an increase in the number of subjects of the central exam.
