Abstract:

This study covers a group of Tabae settlements, which were taken over by the Denizli lake, the ancient town of Tabae, located within the boundaries of the castle district, the cooked land candle finds of the Roman Empire period. Of the candles they seem to be made in the shape, unless one, almost all of them are capable of giving full and complete shape. Most of them, in the early Roman tradition, are candles in closed circular form, and have more than one fittile hole. It also appears that some of them have quite interesting clubs in the form of palm. Although some of these candles are known to be local production, some of them are also believed to be imported in terms of shape and shape, along with the powder and steel properties. These imported products are predicted to originate mostly in Western Anatolia, but some are from distant states, such as Italy or North Africa. In the discus part of one of these candles, which is believed to come from the distant states, the mask painting in the other is an erotic scene. There is also ion kymationu on some candles in the collection. Except for these, there is no blend or decoration element, text or stumbling sign on the candles.
