Abstract:

Education is a subject that affects society’s present and future. School managers appear to be the leading persons in achieving educational objectives. The choice and appointment of school managers in the process of education is an important issue. In Turkey, the appointment of school managers is conducted according to the principles related to the administrative appointment regulations. The aim of this study is to explore the views of school managers on the management appointment regulations. In the study, the literary scan method was used. According to the findings, school managers are disappointed with the frequent change of the management appointment regulations. The problems in the appointment of school managers have been a matter that has been waiting for a solution for many years in Turkey. In the appointment of the school manager, compliance with the criteria of justice and neutrality is determined as the outstanding opinions of the school managers. School managers are among the views of the school managers on the administrative appointment regulations where the candidates should be provided in service training.
