Abstract:

The regular conduct of class life and the prevention of negative behaviors in the class depends on effective class management. Because effective class management skills are the most important factor determining the success of teaching. This study, which is an imaginary research model in the scan model, aims to determine the perceptions of the teacher candidate theology students about the skills of class management. The research work group is the 3rd and 4th in the study at the Faculty of Theology of the Republic of Sivas University in the 2019-2020 educational year. It is made up of class students. The research has used the "Teacher Advocates' Class Management Qualification Scale" developed by Ambassador, Kinay and Oral (2015) as a data collection tool. In the context of the findings obtained, the perceptions of the teachers candidates who participate in the research about the class management skills do not differ according to gender and the type of high school they study. The study found that the teacher candidate at the Faculty of Theology’s perceptions of the students’ ability to manage the classroom were at a “sufficient” level. In the five subdimensions of class management in Teaching Management, Relationship Management and Time Management factors II. The average number of teachers is higher than the average number of teachers. According to the average of physical order, teaching management and relationship management factors, the average of students studying in the 3rd class in these three factors was higher than the average of students studying in the 4th class.
