Abstract:

This study examines in essence the framework in which the Arab-Israeli normalization is presented to the public in the Middle East press. The main objective of the study is to identify the similarities and differences in the form of the regional press’ normalization initiative and to figure out whether there is a causal relationship between the form of the observed framework and the foreign policy lines of the countries. Working towards this goal takes the approach of "frameworking" as a conceptual ground. In the research process, the quality method is adopted as the data collection technique, and the analysis of the data is carried out by the technique of speech analysis. The scope of the study is the study of the news about the normalization of Arab-Israel in the press of the four regional forces in Turkey, Saudi Arabia, Iran and Egypt between 13 August 2020 and 15 September 2020 when the Agreement of Ibrahim was signed. The main argument of the study is that the Arab-Israeli normalization is rebuilt in the Middle East press and presented in different frameworks and that the regional powers determine the way the foreign policy lines are informed.
