Abstract:

One of the basic reasons that Islamic sciences were healthily understood by the generations coming after the Prophet and his companions is the fact that they could go down the real source of knowledge. The companions conducted a very important function as they were close to the source and they observed him. The procedures and rules of the before mentioned sciences came to existence in terms of developing in different periods and became systematic. One of the sciences, which has always taken place in the agenda and preserved its vividness with the process of revelation, has been the science of qira’at. That is to say that qira’ats take the lead in many issues such as recitation of the Qur’an, its phonetics, tajwid, source of utterance, sajawends etc.. Likewise, different interpretations of the words in tafsir constitute one of the strong arguments used by scholars, especially in deducing the rulings in fiqh, in addition to revealing and detecting the differences in the Arabic language within the framework of Arabic dialects, such as vocabulary and syntax. Accordingly, the qira’ats present a rich material together with the different perspective for exegetes, Arabic Language philologists and the scholars studying in the field of fiqh. Therefore, Therefore, in addition to being a source of sciences such as tafsir, kalam, fiqh and Arabic language with their different aspects, qira’ats require every researcher working in the field to deal with the aspects of reading in understanding the texts. In this study, without exceeding the limits of the research and without addressing the general areas affected by the above-mentioned qira’ats, only the issue of the source of the Companions' recitations along with their effects on tafsir, different qira’ats of the companions and the writing of the Mushaf were tried to be brought to the fore. We think that the information under these three headings, in which we will discuss the qira’ats, will contribute to those who will work in the field.
