Rus Orta Çağ ilimleri uzmanı Dmitri Sergeyeviç Lihaçov’un (1906-1999) Eski Rus edebiyatının tür sistemine ilişkin bir dizi özgün görüşünü konu edinen bu makale, kuramcının işlevsel yöntemlerini ve araştırmalarının genel ilkelerine dönüşen bu yöntemlerin bilimsel temellerini ortaya koymayı amaçlar. Lihaçov’un araştırmaları, dünya klasiklerinin kaleme alındığı 19. yüzyıl ile toplumcu içeriğiyle geniş okur kitlelerine hitap eden 20. yüzyıl edebiyatlarının gölgesinde kalan ve nispeten az tanınan Eski Rus edebiyatı üzerinde yoğunlaşır. Zira pagan Rusların MS 988 yılında Bizans kanalıyla benimsediği Hristiyanlık inancı, yeni bir alfabe ve oldukça zengin bir yazılı edebiyat geleneği gibi bazı kültürel yenilikleri de beraberinde getirmiştir. Bu dönüşüm süreciyle birlikte 10. yüzyılın sonlarından, toplumsal ve sanatsal düzlemde sekülerleşmeye doğru bir aşama teşkil eden 17. yüzyıla dek, dinî içerikli ve anonim eserlerin gelenekselleştiği bir devir başlatılır. Eski Rus edebiyatı olarak adlandırılan bu devir, Orta Çağ toplumunun değerler dünyasına tutulan bir ayna olarak görülebilir. Orta Çağ yazınını söz konusu değerler doğrultusunda, tarihsel eleştiri yöntemiyle inceleyen Lihaçov, yapıtları devrin toplumsal kabulleri ve yaşam tarzı bağlamında çözümler. Böylelikle, çağdaş okur ve araştırmacıları, günümüzün yaygın analiz araçlarıyla anlamlandırılması mümkün olmayan bir türsel çeşitlilik ve dünya görüşü ile tanıştırır. Makalede, Lihaçov’un ortaya koyduğu türler sistemi ve bu sistemi kuran edebiyat dışı faktörler, tarihsel perspektifle değerlendirilir. Ayrıca, kuramcının somut edebiyat bilimi adını verdiği özgün yöntemi ve tüm çalışmalarında benimsediği tarihsel empati ilkesi incelenir. Çalışmada, Lihaçov’un bilimsel bir zemin üzerinde yükselen metodunun, betimleyici yöntem ve propagandacı tutum arasında kalan edebiyat bilimi çalışmaları açısından ideal bir anlayış olarak öne çıktığı ve güncelliğini koruduğu ortaya konulur.
This article, which addresses a series of original views of the Russian Medieval Sciences expert Dmitry Sergeyevich Lihaçov (1906-1999) on the kind system of ancient Russian literature, aims to reveal the functional methods of the theorist and the scientific foundations of these methods that become the general principles of his research. Lihaçov’s research focuses on the ancient Russian literature that remained in the shadow of the 20th century literature, which addressed the broad audience with its socialist content in the 19th century when the world’s classics were painted and relatively less known. The Christian faith, which the pagan Russians adopted by the Byzantine Channel in 988 BC, brought some cultural innovations, such as a new alphabet and a very rich written literary tradition. From the end of the century to the 17th century, which was a stage towards secularization on the social and artistic level, a period of religious and anonymous works began to be traditionalised. This period, called the ancient Russian literature, can be seen as a mirror held in the world of values of the medieval society. Lihaçov, who studies the medieval literature according to the respective values, through the method of historical criticism, the works are solutions in the context of the social acceptance of the era and the lifestyle. Thus, contemporary readers and researchers introduce a kind of diversity and a worldview that is unable to be understood by the widespread analysis tools of today. In the article, the system of species that Lihaçov revealed and the non-literary factors that founded this system are assessed from a historical perspective. It also studies the original method that the theorist calls the concrete literary science and the principle of historical empathy he adopts in all his studies. The study reveals that Lihaçov’s method, which rises on a scientific ground, stands out as an ideal understanding in terms of literary science studies that remain between the illustrative method and the propagandistic attitude.
