Bu araştırmada, yönetici adayı öğretmenlerin (YAÖ) yöneticiliği tercih nedenlerini belirlemek amaçlanmıştır. YAÖ’lerin, niçin yönetici olmak istediklerinin bilinmesi, yönetim kademesinin niteliğinin öngörülebilmesi ve gerekli tedbirlerin alınabilmesi bakımından önemli görülmektedir. Araştırmanın örneklemini, Tokat merkez ilçedeki ilk ve orta öğretim kurumlarında çalışan ve 2006 yılında müdür yardımcılığı sınavına giren 199 öğretmen oluşturmaktadır. Araştırmada; YAÖ’lerin önemli bir bölümünün, öğretmenlik mesleğini ya kısmen sevdiği ya da hiç sevmediği; öğretmenliği meslek sahibi olabilmek için ya da aile-çevre yönlendirmesi ile seçtikleri; yarıdan fazlasının yöneticilik yapabilmek için eğitime ihtiyaç duydukları bulgularına ulaşılmıştır. YAÖ’ler, uygulamaya dayalı yetiştirme modeli beklentisi içindedirler. YAÖ’lerin, yöneticilikteönemli hedefleri, okulu etkin ve örnek okul haline getirmektir
In this study, the aim is to determine the reasons for the preference of the manager candidate teachers (EAU). It is important for the OECDs to know why they want to be managers, to be able to predict the nature of the management stage and to take the necessary measures. The examples of the research are made up of 199 teachers who work in the primary and secondary educational institutions in the Tokat central district and who entered the director's assistant exam in 2006. The research has found that a significant part of the students have found that they either love or don’t like the teaching profession, that they choose the teaching profession to possess or by family-environmental guidance, and that more than half of them need education to be able to do the management. The YÖs are in the expectation of a model of cultivation based on the application. The management-oriented goals of the YÖs are to make the school an effective and example school.
