Abstract:

The purpose of this research is to study self-simpatiation according to gender by the meta-analysis method. For this purpose, graduate theses and articles conducted in Turkey between the years 2007-2018 have been scanned. The Higher Education Council has taken advantage of the National Thesis Center to access the theses, the National Academic Network and Information Center (ULAKBIM) Database to access scientific articles. The sample of this study consists of 37 studies, including the average self-sufficiency points of women and men, the standard deviations in relation to these points and the number of women and men who participated in the studies. The sample of the study consists of 15493 individuals (10233 women - 66.05 percent). The size of the influence of self-sufficiency according to gender was determined by using the Standardized Medium Difference (Cohen d) analysis method. Egger's Regression Test, which was applied to determine the broadcast error, showed that Duval and Tweedie's Crop-Full Method and Huni Graphics results were not broadcast error. The research has found that studies taken into the scope have a heterogeneous distribution of the impact sizes [Q (sd = 36) = 84.045, p = .000, I2 = 57.166]. The results of the study showed that the average self-sufficiency scores in men are higher than in women, but the difference between them is statistically meaningless (d = -0.051, p = .073)
