Abstract:

The purpose of this research is to study the power of high school students' parents attitudes to put their career decision-making qualification expectations in mind. The method of research is adopted. In the 2105-2016 academic year, 198 men and 201 girls who studied in the Science and Anatolian High Schools in the center of the province of Kırşehir form a study group of 399 students. The research has used the measurement of Parental Attitudes as a data collection tool and the measurement of Career Decision Qualification Expectations. Relationships between variables have been studied by multiple regression analysis. In the study, parents’ attitudes have been determined to be a meaningful contributor to “self assessment correctly, collecting information about the professions, targeting, planning, solving problems” which are the lower dimensions of responsibility and acceptance, and the lower dimensions of the scale of career decision-making qualification expectations. In addition, with responsibility and acceptance, authority and responsibility have also been seen as a meaningful contributor to the "collection of information about professions".
