Bu çalışmanın amacı sosyal bilgiler öğretmen adaylarının sosyal ağ kullanım profillerinin belirlenmesidir. Araştırmanın evrenini sosyal bilgiler öğretmen adayları, örneklemini ise 2015 yılında seçkisiz olmayan örnekleme yöntemlerinden amaçsal örnekleme yöntemi yoluyla ulaşılan Cumhuriyet Üniversitesi Eğitim Fakültesi İlköğretim Bölümü Sosyal Bilgiler Eğitimi Anabilim Dalı’nda öğrenim görmekte olan 353 sosyal bilgiler öğretmen adayı oluşturmaktadır. Veri toplama aracı olarak Karakuş ve Varol tarafından geliştirilen ve 27 sorudan oluşan “Sosyal Ağ Kullanım Profili Ölçeği” kullanılmıştır. Araştırmada toplanan verilerin analizinde IBM SPSS Statistic 23 paket programı kullanılmıştır. Elde edilen bulgular aritmetik ortalama, standart sapma, bağımsız gruplar için t-testi, tek yönlü varyans analizi aracılığı ile çözümlenmiş ve verilerin anlamlı olup olmadığı 0,05 anlamlılık düzeyinde değerlendirilmiştir. Araştırma neticesinde sosyal bilgiler öğretmen adaylarının büyük bir kısmının interneti iletişim kurmak amacıyla kullandığı, en sık kullandıkları sosyal ağın Facebook olduğu, sosyal ağ kullanımına ilişkin yüksek düzeyde olumlu tutum geliştirdikleri; sosyal bilgiler öğretmen adaylarının sosyal ağ kullanım profillerinin cinsiyet, mezun olunan okul türü, internete erişim, günlük ortalama internet kullanım süresi, interneti kullanma amacı ve en sık kullandıkları sosyal ağ sitesi değişkenlerine göre anlamlı farklılık göstermezken sınıf seviyesi değişkenine göre anlamlı farklılık gösterdiği tespit edilmiştir.
