Bu çalışmada, Malatya ilinde İnönü TÖMER’de ve kampta yabancı dil olarak Türkçe öğrenen B2 düzeyinde 137 öğrencinin okur özyeterlik algıları ile okuduğunu anlama becerileri arasındaki ilişki tespit edilmiştir. Araştırmada veri toplama araçları olarak Kan ve Güngör (2016) tarafından geliştirilen ‘Yabancı Dil Olarak Türkçe Öğrenen Öğrencilere Yönelik Okuma Becerisi Öz Yeterlilik Ölçeği’ ve Altunkaya (2016) tarafından geliştirilen ‘Yabancı Dil Olarak Türkçe Öğrenenlere Yönelik Okuduğunu Anlama Başarı Testi’ kullanılmıştır. Nicel araştırma yönteminin kullanıldığı çalışmada, veri toplama araçlarından elde edilen veriler SPSS paket programı ile analiz edilmiştir. Analiz neticesinde öğrencilerin özyeterlik algılarının ve okuduğunu anlama düzeylerinin ortalamanın üzerinde olduğu; okuduğunu anlama başarısı ve okuma becerisi öz yeterlik algıları arasında çok zayıf, pozitif yönde anlamlı ilişki bulunduğu; okuma becerisi özyeterlik algı düzeylerinin okuduğunu anlama başarı düzeyini artırdığı tespit edilmiştir. Öğrencilerin okuma özyeterlik algılarının yaş, öğrenim durumu, Türkçe dışında bilinen dil sayısı ve Türkçe öğrenme süresi değişkenlerine göre anlamlı bir farklılık göstermediği, cinsiyet değişkenine göre ise kadın öğrencilerin okuma özyeterlik algılarının erkek öğrencilerden yüksek olduğu görülmüştür. Yabancı dil olarak Türkçe öğrenenlerin okuduğunu anlama başarı düzeylerinin yaş, cinsiyet, öğrenim durumu değişkenlerine göre anlamlı bir farklılık göstermediği, Türkçe dışında bilinen dil sayısı ve Türkçe öğrenme süresi değişkenlerine göre ise anlamlı farklılık gösterdiği ortaya konulmuştur.
