So many results that aren't mine?
References in many bibliographies are sometimes referred to as "Surname, I", so the citations of academics whose Surname and initials are the same may occasionally interfere. This problem is often the case with citation indexes all over the world.

Christine Swanton’un Cogulcu Erdem Eti̇gi̇ne Bi̇r Bakis
2019
Journal:
Dokuz Eylül Üniversitesi Edebiyat Fakültesi Dergisi
Author:
Abstract:

This article aims to explain Swanton’s pluralist/target-centered virtue ethics in the face of the action-guidance objection against virtue ethics and to review it in comparison to its ancient counterpart, namely eudaimonistic virtue ethics. In this respect, this article will be divided into three sections. The first section will introduce the action-guidance objection and the contemporary responses to the objection. The second section will focus on how Swanton explains the nature and the profile of virtue and virtuous/right action in her pluralist/target centered virtue ethics. The third section will provide a critical approach to Swanton’s account in respect to the relationship between virtue, practical wisdom and eudaimonia. In this regard, the shortcomings of her theory that are caused by the conceptualization of the unity of the virtues, eudaimonia and practical wisdom will be explained.
