Abstract:

This study aims to identify the levels of reading anxiety for those who learn Turkish as a foreign language and to study students’ reading anxiety according to gender, mother tongue alphabet, read-like conditions, read-like habits, periodic follow-up variables. The study used the "Turkish as a Foreign Language Students' Reading Anxiety Measurement" developed by Altunkaya and Erdem (2017) to determine the reading anxiety of students who learn Turkish as a Foreign Language. The study group consists of 170 foreign students studying at Burdur Mehmet Akif Ersoy University, Malatya Inönü University and Mersin University Turkish Teaching Centers in the second semester of the 2017-2018 Education-Teaching Year. The data obtained from the study was statistically evaluated with the help of the spss 21.00 program, the findings were compared with the results of other studies in the field and some recommendations were made to the staff in the field.
