Abstract:

Nutrition is one of the actions that are indispensable for animals. Through the discovery of fire, man has gained a eating habit by cooking various meat, vegetables and fruits. This act has become a ritual or ceremony that has changed in the geographical axis over time and has become a symbol of social and cultural identity. These ceremonies are a form of communication and cultural interaction, an indicator of the strength and status of the family, political power, etc. It is a research subject with functions such as being a means of friendship, sharing, entertainment and socialization. In the study, the rules of the dinner and dinner in the Turkish family will be identified in the dining ceremonies of the Denizli district family. In the study, how the behavior patterns relating to the subject will form a communication with the symbols or symbols, how the family provides the internal discipline in the table, what are the differences in the application between the food adjacent in rural life and the food adjacent in urban life, while the social and cultural functions of the food adjacent will be discussed by movement from the data obtained from various sources and field research.
