Abstract:

This study aims to determine whether students in the Department of Sports Management at the Faculty of Sports Sciences identify their communication skills and whether their demographic characteristics differ. The research was attended by volunteer students with the random sampling method among the students of the Department of Sports Orientation at the University of Bartin School of Sports Sciences. As a data collection tool in this survey, the Personal Information Form created by the researcher, the Communication Qualification Scale, which consists of 30 questions developed by the University students in order to measure the communication capacity (Gülsüm Şeyma KOCA, Gülsüm ERİGÜÇ-2017) was used. The data obtained in the field work using the face-to-face survey method was analyzed in the SPSS 18.0 program. According to this data, the communication skills of the students of the Department of Sports Management have also been examined. As a result of the analyses made, the examples consisting of the students of the sport management department of the University of Bartin have been determined that the communication qualifications of the sample are high.The analysis of the differences made has determined that the level of communication qualifications does not differ depending on the demographic characteristics such as gender, age, class, the educational status of the father and the educational status of the mother.
