Abstract:

The purpose of this research is to adapt the Social Gender Roles Attitude Scale to the Turkish and to make validity, reliability analyses. The study was conducted in three stages. Accordingly, the first stage of this study included 326, the second stage 278, the third stage 57 volunteer university students. In the first phase of the translation work, the opening factor analysis was done. In the second phase the verifying factor analysis, compliance validity and reliability, and in the third phase the test-re-test results were studied. The analysis of the opening factor revealed that the total variance of the scale was 38.6%. As a result of the verifying factor analysis, the adjusted scale has been observed to have a good compatibility. The validity of the measurement is studied by the Contradictive Emotional Sexuality Scale. The internal consistency ratio of the measurement was .88, the test-up and test reliability ratio was .77. The research results show that the Social Gender Roles Attitude Scale is a valid and reliable scale of the Turkish form.
