Abstract:

Creativity is one of the most important skills to be developed in the pre-school period. This research, which aims to determine the views of pre-school teachers on art and creativity, was conducted in a scanning model and using quality methods. The research work group has formed 100 pre-school teachers who are working in the primary and secondary schools and independent primary schools in the 2018-2019 educational year of the National Education Directorate. As a data collection tool in the research, a conversation form consisting of open end questions developed by the researcher was used. In the process of data collection, the teachers involved in the research were interviewed and the forms were analyzed after the conversations were completed. In the analysis of the obtained data, the visual analysis method was used. The study found that pre-school teachers, according to the definitions they indicate, know how to define creativity in creativity, have both ideas in the concepts of originality, independence and diversity. According to the results of the interview, the teachers have come to the conclusion that the greatest obstacle to creativity is the cause of the family’s oppressive behavior. In addition, it is noted that the most unstructured events and art events are included on the development of creativity.
