Abstract:

This study aims to examine football judges' constant level of anxiety before the match by different variables. The study consists of 639 football judges working in the Egean provinces in the 2014-2015 season, while the sample is made up of 106 judges who participated voluntarily in the study. As a data collection tool in the research, the findings obtained by the researchers were evaluated using the SPSS 20.0 package program to measure the level of anxiety with the social-demographic information form consisting of demographic questions, suggested and adapted to the Turkish by Le Compte and the reliability and validity study was again used by the same persons, the continuous anxiety inventory of Speilberger. In the analysis of the data, the conformity to the normal distribution of the data was determined by the single sampling kolmogorov-smirnov test. For all groups, the 5% significance level has been determined that the distribution of data is not compatible with the normal distribution. Therefore, the Mann Whitney-U test was used with the Wilcoxon Signed Order Numbers Test, which is one of the non-parametric analysis methods. The study found that there was no significant difference between the participants in terms of the pre-competition constant concern level, gender variable, arbitration categories and arbitration periods.
