Abstract:

This research aims to investigate the factors that influence the professional and technical choice of anabolic high school students. In the study, the opinions of students who are studying in the professional and technical Anatolian high schools related to the Ministry of National Education were taken. Therefore, the scan method was used in research. As the research universe, the 10th, 11th and 12th class students of the professional and technical Anatolian high schools in the various districts of Diyarbakır province were selected. As a data collection tool, it was used; "The scale of factors affecting the choice of a profession." According to the findings obtained; the absence of an effective professional guidance system in Turkey, high school and post-secondary students are forced to turn to different areas of their interests and attitudes according to their unconscious preferences. Most students, without knowing their skills and talents, are forced to choose a main branch according to the university exam results. Some students who enter the university without knowing whether they are interested and skilled in the field change their main branch in their schools, fail or worst, fail in the business after graduation. The social, psychological and especially financial burden of this situation is heavy to individuals and our country. To eliminate this burden, the training consultancy services in other European countries should be established in our country with professional travel offices, the necessary research and guidance with professional skills should be carried out.
