Özet:

Technological and economic changes lead to changes in educational practices. Since the implementer of changes has gained the importance of learning the values of managers and teachers, the purpose of the research has been the views of managers/ teachers on the transformation of the professional education policies in Turkey after 1980 in professional education schools. The measurement tool developed in accordance with the purpose was applied to 428 managers / teachers who work in the official professional and technical teaching institutions selected from nine districts in the center of Ankara. The answers to the questions were interpreted by percentage and frequency values. The researchers/learners who participated in the study were tested by the square test whether there were significant differences according to gender and regional differences. Some of the results obtained when the opinions of the teachers and managers involved in the study are assessed; the field / field choice of students who come to the Professional and Technical High Schools is not compatible with the interests and abilities. Modules and programs in the application are not up-to-date. The closure of faculties that train teachers in professional and technical education will lead to a lack of teachers who know the field for professional and technical education in the future. According to the research results, it is a correct decision that students who are registered in the professional high school, from the 10th grade, will be taken into the state’s compulsory insurance coverage against the risk of employment accidents and that the state will contribute 1/3 and 2/3 of the minimum wage paid to students who are working in the enterprises. Applied educational environments in the professional and technical high school/institutions are not sufficient with equipment, equipment, and equipment. The funding of professional technical education must be paid by the state.
