Abstract:

Bu çalışmada, 16. yüzyılda Mısır sahasında ‘Abdussamed Diyarbekrī tarafından yazılan “Nevâdirü’t-Tevâriḫ’’ adlı eserde (1-226 varak arası) geçen atasözlerinin kahramanlık temalı metaforlar açısından incelenmesini amaçlanmıştır. Eserin 1. ve 226. varakları arasında geçen 240 atasözü tespit edilip bunların içinde kahramanlık temalı metafor içeren 23 atasözü belirlenmiştir. Bununla birlikte, zengin bir söz varlığına sahip olan Nevâdirü’t-Tevârih adlı eserde geçen atasözlerinde metafor kullanımının oldukça yaygın olduğu ortaya konulmuştur.

Abstract:

The present study aimed to examine heroism-themed metaphors in the proverbs of the "Nevâdirü't-Tevâriḫ" (between 1-226 pages) written by 'Abdussamed Diyarbekrī in Egypt region in the 16th century. In the research, 240 proverbs between the 1st and 226th pages of the work were analyzed. As a result of the research, a total of 23 proverbs containing heroism-themed metaphors were determined. In addition, the use of metaphors was quite common in the proverbs of the Nevâdirü't-Tevârih which has a rich vocabulary.
