Eğitim sistemleri, sosyal, kültürel hayatta meydana gelen değişiklikler, ekonomik nedenler, teknolojik gelişmeler vb. nedenlerle zamanla yenilenmektedir. Cumhuriyet’in ilanından bugüne, birçok eğitim programı uygulamaya konulmuş, yeni bilimsel gelişmelerin ışığında, günün koşulları da dikkate alınarak aksaklığı görülen programlar yenileriyle değiştirilmiştir. Diğer derslerin programları gibi, Türkçe öğretim programı da bu değişimden etkilenmiştir. Millî Eğitim Bakanlığı Talim ve Terbiye Kurulu Başkanlığının 05/08/2015 tarih ve 71 sayılı kararı ile Türkçe Dersi (1-8. Sınıflar) 2015 Türkçe Öğretim Programı kabul edilmiş; 2016-2017 eğitim - öğretim yılından itibaren 1. ve 5. sınıflardan başlamak üzere kademeli olarak uygulanmasına karar verilmiştir. Bu çalışmanın amacı, bakanlıkça kabul edilen MEB Türkçe Dersi (1-8. Sınıflar) Öğretim Programında metin ve tema seçimini, geçmiş dönemlerde uygulanan programlarla da karşılaştırarak, sınıf düzeylerine göre değerlendirmektir. Çalışmada, önce metin ve tema kavramlarından başlayarak kavramsal bilgi verilmiş, daha sonra 1924’ten günümüze hazırlanarak farklı kademelerde uygulamaya konulmuş olan Türkçe Öğretim Programlarında metin tür ve tema seçiminde dikkate alınan hususlar özetle anlatılmıştır. Kabul edilen MEB Türkçe Dersi (1-8. Sınıflar) Türkçe Öğretim Programı’nda sınıf düzeylerine göre metin türleri ve temalar hakkında verilen tablolar, açıklamalar incelenmiş; konu hakkında programda yer alan bilgiler değerlendirilmiştir. Hazırlanan bu çalışma tarama modelinde betimsel bir araştırmadır. Araştırma verileri, doküman taraması yoluyla elde edilmiş, verilerinin çözümlenmesinde betimsel analiz tekniği kullanılmıştır.

Education systems are renewed over time due to changes in cultural and social life, economical factors, technological developments and so on. Since the proclamation of the Republic, many curricula have been put into practice and taking into account current conditions and new scientific developments the ones which were thought to be problematic or inefficient have been replaced by the new ones. Like curricula of other courses, Turkish curriculum has been affected by these changes. Turkish language course (1-8 grades) was adopted with the decision of Ministry of Education Board of Education and Instruction dated 05.08.2015 and numbered 71 and it was decided to be implemented gradually starting from 1st and 5th grades in 2016-2017 school year. The purpose of this study is to evaluate the texts and themes placed 1-8 grades Turkish language course by grade levels and to compare the new curriculum with the previous ones. In the study, conceptual information starting with text and theme concepts is given first and considerations taken into account in selecting text and theme in Turkish Curricula which have prepared and implemented at different levels since1924 are summarized. Tables and explanations on text types and themes have been examined by the grade levels and information on the subject which is in the curriculum has been evaluated. This study is a descriptive research in survey model. Research data has been obtained through document scanning and descriptive analysis technique has been used to analyze the data.
