References in many bibliographies are sometimes referred to as "Surname, I", so the citations of academics whose Surname and initials are the same may occasionally interfere. This problem is often the case with citation indexes all over the world.

Abstract:

Abstract Development is one of the most important issues that each country focuses on. Today, because the economies of underdeveloped and developing countries are based on the agricultural sector, these countries have started to give importance to the tourism sector with the idea that development with agriculture will take strength and time. The income generated from the tourism sector makes a very important contribution to the economic development, growth and development of those countries. Tourism is a sector that provides extensive employment opportunities on the international scale. The development of this sector in the world is towards the end of the 1980s. Today, the economic, social, cultural and political effects of the tourism sector are growing every day. This situation increases the importance given to tourism not only in developed countries that share a large share of the international tourism movement, but also in developing countries. Tourism is a sector that provides extensive employment opportunities on the international scale and employs more over 300 million people around the world. Again, one out of every 16 employees in the world is in the tourism sector and about 7% of international capital investments are in the tourism area. Turkey is one of the few countries in the world with historical, cultural and natural beauties rich in tourism potential. It is also a rare country inhabited by various civilizations in history. It is possible to find the trace of these civilizations all over Turkey, which has 7 geographical regions. However, since the region I want to focus on is the Eastern and Southeastern Anatolia Region, I will try to give information about these regions. There is suitable potential for the development of almost all types of tourism in the Eastern and Southeastern Anatolia regions. These regions have been used as settlements since the earliest periods of history and are ones of the unique, rare pieces of geography in which civilizations first formed and Human Settlements first began. In addition to its historical and cultural values, it is seen that the region has a great potential such as religion, Health, Congress, cave, Highland, hunting, Botanical tourism, mountaineering, bird watching, historical Silk Road, underwater sports in dam lakes. Although the region has great potential, especially in terms of faith tourism, it does not attract enough tourists. Furthermore, it is known that the share of the total number of people staying in the region as domestic/foreign tourists in Turkey is only 0.2% and the number of overnight stays is 2.5%. Similarly, despite the presence of important touristic products in the region, the number of touristic facilities and beds in Turkey is seen to be very low with 2.0% and 1.9%.
