Abstract:

This research was conducted in Namiyaman, Harran, Kilis 7 December, Kahramanmaraş Milk Imam and Inönü University's Body Education Teaching and Trainer Education Divisions in 2019-2020 with the aim of determining the differentiation of the relationship between emotional intelligence and self-respect levels and some variables. A total of 500 volunteers participated in the study. The study used the scale of Emotional Intelligence in Sport and Copersmith self-respect to collect data. In the statistical analysis of the data, the IBM (SPSS 25.0 version, Armonk: NY) statistical package program was used. As a result of the Kormogolov-Smirnov test, t-test and ANOVA tests were used because the data showed normal distribution. To determine the difference between the groups, the post-hoc test was used. The statistical significance level is considered p<0.05 . The results of the analyses were found that age, gender, sport industry, income status, parent education status variables are common variables that affect self-respect and emotional intelligence level. As a result of the study, there was no meaningful relationship between emotional intelligence and self-respect.
