Bu araştırmanın amacı; spor yapan ve yapmayan lise öğrencilerin benlik saygısı düzeylerini incelemektir. Araştırmanın evrenini ;2021-2022 eğitim-öğretim yılında Yozgat ilinde liselerde öğrenim gören öğrenciler oluşturmaktadır. Araştırmanın örneklemini ise 2021-2022 eğitim-öğretim yılında Yozgat ilinde öğrenim gören lise öğrencilerinden mail yoluyla gönderilen online anket çalışmasına gönüllü olarak katılım gösteren 231 öğrenci oluşturmaktadır. Araştırmada tarama (survey) yöntemi kullanılmıştır. Öğrencilerin demografik özelliklerine ilişkin bilgiler ‘’kişisel bilgi formu’’ ile elde edilmiştir. Öğrencilerin benlik saygısı düzeyleri ‘benlik saygısı ölçeği’’ ile elde edilmiştir. Elde edilen veriler istatistiki işlemler için SPSS 20.0 yazılım programına aktarılmıştır. Verilerin çözümlenmesinde frekans analizi, yüzde analizi, aritmetik ortalama, t testi, Anova analizleri ve post hoc testleri kullanılmıştır. Gerçekleştirilen analizler sonucunda; cinsiyet ve spor yapma durumu değişkenlerine göre benlik saygısı ölçeği alt boyutları arasında istatistiksel olarak anlamlı farklar bulunmuştur (p<0.05). Sınıf, anne eğitim düzeyi, baba eğitim düzeyi ve gelir düzeyi değişkenlerine göre ise benlik saygısı ölçeği alt boyutları arasında istatistiksel olarak anlamlı farklar tespit edilmemiştir (p>0.05).
The aim of this study is to study the levels of self-respect of high school students who do sports and do not. The universe of research is formed by students studying in high schools in Yozgat province in the educational year 2021-2022. The sample of the study is made up of 231 students who voluntarily participate in the online survey work sent by mail from high school students who studied in the Yozgat province in the 2021-2022 educational year. The method of survey (survey) is used. Information about the demographic characteristics of students is obtained by the "Personal Information Form". The student’s self-esteem levels are achieved by the ‘self-esteem scale’. SPSS 20 for the statistical processes of obtained data. 0 is transferred to the program. In the analysis of data, frequency analysis, percentage analysis, arithmetic average, t test, Anova analysis and post-host tests were used. The results of the analysis found statistically significant differences between the subdimensions of the scale of self-respect according to the variables of gender and sporting condition (p<0.05). According to the variables of class, mother education level, father education level and income level, there are no statistically meaningful differences between the subdimensions of the self-respect scale (p>0.05).

No statistically significant differences were found between the sub-dimensions of the self-esteem scale according to the variables of class, mother'seducation level, father'seducation level and income level (p>0.05).
