Abstract:

The research was carried out in Turkey for the purpose of determining the motivations for disabled athletes to participate in the sport in the body-hearing-visual disabled sports federations. The study included a total of 303 disabled athletes. In the study, the size of the total scores in terms of the motivation to participate in the sport, the high group was found to be physical disabled athletes, it was followed by vision and hearing disabled athletes. The external motivation of national athletes is significantly high compared to non-national athletes, the age-to-age unmotivation is significantly reduced, the internal and external motivation points are significantly high in the male athletes within the same barrier group of hearing disabilities, the physical disabilities of the athletes are generally associated with physical development, the characteristic of "freedom of the sport" among the internal motivation factors of visual disabilities is more emphasized, and the "motivation unmotivation" in the other barrier groups of hearing disabilities is predicted.
