Muhaddislerin hadislerin sıhhatini belirlemede sadece senedle ilgilendikleri, hadisin metnini Kur’ân-ı Kerîm, icmâ, akıl, vakıaya uygunluk gibi çeşitli kıstaslar ışığında değerlendirmedikleri yönünde görüşler günümüzde yaygın bir şekilde dile getirilmektedir. Bu iddianın doğruluğunu tahkik etmek maksadıyla muhtelif çalışmalar 1970’lerden beri yapılmış olmakla beraber bilhassa son yirmi senede İslam dünyasında konuyla ilgili yapılan araştırmalar daha derinlikli olmuş ve muhaddislerin metin tenkidi konusunda izahat ve tatbikatına dair yeni bulgular elde etmişlerdir. Bunlardan biri 2014 senesinde doktora tezi olarak Cezayir’de Emir Abdulkadir Üniversitesi’nde sunulmuş ve 2021 senesinde Kuveyt’te basılmış olan, Nebil Ahmed Belhî isimli hadis araştırmacısının Mesâlik nakdi’l-metn inde nukkâdi’l-hadîs fi’l-karni’s-sâlisi’l-hicrî, dirâse nazariyye tatbîkiyye başlıklı eseri olup mezkûr çalışma hadis ilminin altın çağı sayılan hicri üçüncü asırda yaşamış hadis münekkitlerinin hadislerin metinlerini tenkit yöntemlerini incelemeyi hedeflemiştir. Bu değerlendirme yazımızda kanaatimizce muhaddislerin metin tenkidi faaliyetlerinin anlaşılmasında önemli katkılarda bulunmuş anılan kitabı ana hatlarıyla tahlil ve tenkit etmek amaçlanmıştır.

For the purposes of verifying the truth of this claim, various studies have been done since the 1970s, but in the last twenty years, the research on the subject has become more profound and new findings about the explanation and practice of the text of the Muslims have been obtained. One of these was a doctoral thesis presented in 2014 at the Emir Abdulkadir University in Algeria and published in Kuwait in 2021, Nebil Ahmed Belhî named hadith researcher's Mesâlik nakdi'l-metn inde nukkâdi'l-hadîs fi'l-karni's-sâlisi'l-hicrî, dirâse nazariye practice-titled work and had the aim to study the texts of hadiths of hadiths who lived in the third century, which is the golden age of hadith study. In this evaluation text, we are intended to evaluate and evaluate the main lines of the book, which has contributed significantly to the understanding of the textual activity of the teachers.
It is widely stated today that in determining the authenticity of the hadīth, the hadīth scholars were only interested in the chain of transmitters and that they did not evaluate the content of the hadīth in the light of various criteria such as compatibility with Qur’an, consensus, reason and reality. While to test the accuracy of this claim various studies have been carried out since the 1970s, especially in the last twenty years, the studies on this subject in the Islamic world have been more in-depth and have obtained new findings on the theoretical explanations and practices of the hadīth scholars regarding content criticism. One of these studies is the work titled “Methods of content criticism of the hadīth scholars in the third century: A theoretical and applied study” which was presented as a doctoral thesis by the researcher named Nebil Ahmed Belhi in 2014 at Emir Abdulkadir University in Algeria and published in Kuwait in 2021. Nebil’s study aims to examine the methods of content criticism by hadīth critics who lived in the third century of Hijri, which is considered the golden age of hadīth science. In this review article, it is aimed to analyze and criticize the aforementioned book which, in our opinion, has made important contributions to the understanding of the content criticism activities of the hadīth scholars.
