Bu araştırmanın amacı öğretmenlerin idealistlik düzeyleri ve mesleki etik davranışları arasındaki ilişkinin incelenmesidir. Çalışma nicel araştırma yöntemi ile yürütülmüştür. İlişkisel tarama modeline göre desenlenmiştir. Araştırmanın evreni 2022-2023 eğitim öğretim yılında Türkiye’nin farklı bölgelerinde resmi kurumlarda çalışan öğretmenlerden oluşmaktadır. Araştırmanın örneklemi ise basit seçkisiz yöntemle seçilmiş 151 öğretmenden oluşmaktadır.
Araştırmada veri toplama aracı olarak “Öğretmen Etik Davranışlar Ölçeği” , “İdealist Öğretmen Ölçeği” ve “Kişisel Bilgi Formu” kullanılmıştır. Verilerin analizi için SPSS istatistik analiz programı kullanılmıştır. Araştırmada pearson korelasyon analizi, betimsel istatistiklerin (aritmetik ortalama, standart sapma) yanı sıra T-Testi ve Tek Yönlü Varyans Analizi (ANOVA) kullanılmıştır.
Elde edilen bulgular sonucunda araştırmaya katılan öğretmenlerin idealistlik düzeyleri ve mesleki etik davranış düzeyleri ayrı ayrı yüksek bulunmuştur. Öğretmenlerin idealistlik düzeyinin cinsiyet ve kıdeme göre farklılık göstermediği sonucuna ulaşılmıştır. Öğretmenlerin mesleki etik davranış düzeylerinin cinsiyet ve kıdem durumu değişkeninde ise; ölçeğin alt boyutlarından olan ahlaki düşünce boyutunda cinsiyet değişkeninden kadınlar lehine anlamlı bir farklılık bulunmuştur. Mesleki etik davranış düzeyleri ve kıdem durumu değişkenine göre bir farklılık bulunamamıştır. Ayrıca öğretmenlerin idealistlik düzeyleri ve mesleki etik davranışları arasında pozitif düzeyde anlamlı bir ilişki bulunmuştur. Araştırmada son olarak diğer araştırmacılara ve uygulayıcılara yönelik öneriler sunulmuştur.
The aim of this study is to study the relationship between the idealist levels of teachers and their professional ethical behavior. The study was conducted by quantum research method. It is designed according to the relational screening model. The universe of the research consists of teachers working in official institutions in different regions of Turkey in the educational year 2022-2023. The study consists of 151 teachers selected by a simple, unselected method.
The research used the "Teacher Ethical Behavior Scale" , "Idealist Teacher Scale" and "Personal Information Form" as a data collection tool. SPSS statistical analysis program is used for data analysis. The study used pearson correlation analysis, visual statistics (arithmetic average, standard deviation) as well as T-Test and One-Right Variance Analysis (ANOVA).
The findings found that the idealist levels of the teachers who participated in the research and the professional ethical behavior levels were distinctly high. It has been concluded that the level of idealism of teachers does not differ according to gender and age. While the professional ethical behavior levels of teachers are variable in gender and senior status; the dimensions of moral thinking, which are from the lower dimensions of the scale, have found a significant difference from the gender variable to the benefit of women. There is no difference between the level of professional ethical behavior and the variable status of age. It has also found a meaningful relationship on a positive level between the idealist levels of teachers and their professional ethical behavior. The study has presented recommendations to other researchers and practitioners.

Pearson correlation analysis, descriptive statistics (arithmetic mean, standard deviation) as well as T-Test and One-Way Analysis of variance (ANOVA) were used in the study. As a result of the findings, idealistic levels and professional ethical behavior levels of the teachers participating in the study were found to be high separately. It has been concluded that the idealistic level of teachers does not differ according to the variables of gender and seniority. In the variable of gender and seniority of professional ethical behavior levels of teachers; There was a significant difference in favor of women from the gender variable in the moral thought dimension, which is one of the sub-dimensions of the scale. No difference was found according to the variable of professional ethical behavior and seniority status. In addition, a positive significant relationship was found between teachers' idealistic levels and professional ethical behaviors. Finally, recommendations were made to other researchers in the study.
