Bu araştırmada öğretmenlerin algılarına göre yöneticilerin yönetim süreçlerindeki duygu yönetimi davranışları ile öğretmenlerin okul mutlulukları arasındaki ilişkinin incelenmesi amaçlanmıştır. Araştırma nicel bir çalışmadır. Araştırmada ilişkisel desen kullanılmıştır. Araştırmaya İstanbul ili Başakşehir, Bakırköy, Küçükçekmece ve Şişli ilçelerinde resmi ortaöğretim kurumlarında çalışan 383 öğretmen katılmıştır. Araştırma verileri toplanırken Kişisel Bilgi Formu, Okul Mutluluk Ölçeği ve Yönetim Süreçleri Açısından Yöneticilerin Duygu Yönetimi Davranışları Ölçeği kullanılmıştır. Verilerin analizi frekans analizi, Mann Whitney U Testi, Kruskal Wallis H Testi ve korelasyon analizi ile gerçekleştirilmiştir. Veriler analiz edilirken SPSS 21 İstatistik Programı kullanılmıştır. Araştırmaya göre yöneticilerin duygu yönetimi davranışları öğretmenlerin cinsiyetleri, branşları ve görev yaptıkları okul türlerine göre farklılaşırken; yaş ve mesleki kıdem yıllarına göre farklılaşmamaktadır. Öğretmenlerin okul mutluluk düzeyleri cinsiyet değişkenine göre fiziksel donanım, öğrenme ortamı, işbirliği, etkinlikler alt boyutları ve okul mutluluğu ölçek toplam puanda farklılaşmamaktadır. Öğretmenlerin okul mutluluk düzeyleri okul mutluluğu ölçeğinin okul yönetimi alt boyutunda erkek öğretmenlerde kadın öğretmenlere göre daha yüksektir. Öğretmenlerin okul mutluluk düzeyleri yaş ve mesleki kıdem değişkenlerine göre farklılaşmamakta; branş ve okul türü değişkenlerine göre farklılaşmaktadır. Yönetim süreçleri açısından yöneticilerin duygu yönetimi davranışları ve öğretmenlerin okul mutlulukları pozitif yönde ve anlamlı düzeyde ilişkili bulunmuştur. Bulgular alan yazındaki sonuçlar doğrultusunda tartışılmış ve ardından araştırmacılara ve uygulayıcılara yönelik öneriler verilmiştir.
According to the teachers’ perceptions, this study aims to study the relationship between the management behaviors of the managers in the management processes and the school happiness of the teachers. Research is a qualitative work. Relational patterns were used in the research. The study included 383 teachers working in the official secondary education institutions in Istanbul or Başakşehir, Bakırköy, Küçükçekmece and Şişli districts. When collecting research data, personal information form, school happiness scale and management processes were used in terms of the Managers' Emotional Management Behavior scale. The analysis of the data was carried out through frequency analysis, Mann Whitney U Test, Kruskal Wallis H Test and correlation analysis. The SPSS 21 Statistical Program was used to analyze the data. According to the study, the behavior of emotional management of managers varies according to the gender, branches and types of school in which they work; the age and professional age are not different according to the years of age. Teachers' school happiness levels do not differ in the total scale of physical equipment, learning environment, cooperation, activities and school happiness scale according to the gender variable. Teachers' school happiness levels are higher than female teachers in male teachers' school management lower dimensions of school happiness scale. Teachers' school happiness levels do not differ according to age and professional age variables; the branch and school type variables. In terms of management processes, the emotional management behaviors of managers and the school happiness of teachers have been linked in a positive direction and a meaningful level. The findings were discussed according to the results in the field text and then recommendations were given to researchers and practitioners.
The purpose of this study is to examine the relationship between emotion management behaviors of administrators in terms of management processes and teachers’ school happiness. In the study, the relational screening model was used in the quantitative research approach. The research sample consists from 383 teachers working in public high schools in the districts of Istanbul, Başakşehir, Bakırköy, Küçükçekmece and Şişli.The data were collected through Personal Information Form, School Happiness Scale and Scale of Managers’ Emotion Management Behaviours in terms of Management Processes. In the data analysis frequency analysis, Mann Whitney U-test, Kruskal Wallis H-Test and correlation analysis were used. The data were analyzed through the SPSS 21 statistical software. According to the research, while the emotion management behaviors of the administrators differ according to the variables of gender, branch and school type; does not differ according to the age and professional seniority variable. Teachers' school happiness levels does not differ according to gender variable with respect to physical equipment, learning environment, cooperation, activities sub-dimensions and total scale score. In the school management sub-dimension, teachers' school happiness levels are higher among male teachers than female teachers. According to the research, while the teachers' school happiness levels differ according to the variable of branch and school type; does not differ according to the age and professional seniority variable. Positivity and meaningful relationship were determined between emotion management behaviors of administrators in terms of management processes and teachers’ school happiness. The results were discussed based on previous findings and recommendations for researchers and practitioners were presented.
