Abstract:

With the rapidly evolving technology, inter-national interactions in commercial, political and cultural areas are increasing. This development makes effective communication between developing countries compulsory. As the key to communication is language, learning a foreign language has become a need for measuring these developments. The main objective in foreign language teaching is to be able to communicate effectively in the target language.  Words are of great importance in the development of understanding and narrative skills necessary for verbal and written communication. Methods and techniques that enable effective, durable and active learning in the teaching of words involved in all stages of the language learning process should be preferred. In foreign language teaching and foreign language relationship word teaching has since been used and used a number of methods, technical and teaching tools. The interactive word wall (EKD) is a word teaching tool that enables active participation, interaction and abundant use of activity in word teaching. The interactive word wall enables fun and meaningful learning, offers word wealth and creates social learning opportunities. The interactive word walls are described in a comprehensive and detailed way. In addition, tables and images were created in order to concrete the interactive word wall activities, and the events were supported by examples. The purpose of this study is to provide information about the interactive word wall in the teaching of Turkish as a foreign language and to keep the teachers light by offering activities aimed at the practice of the word teaching with this tool. In addition, it is to contribute to the national space that contains a few studies on the interactive word wall.
