Urban identity is the sum of the concrete and intangible qualities of the cities and the city differs from the others with these qualities. In parallel with the urban development, physical environments change and transform in interaction with the historical fabric. The buildings shaped in the cities we live in appear as the concrete reflection of the way of life, aesthetic understanding and the technology used by the cultures that have existed in the settlement in the historical process. The environmental effects of the monumental structures in this built environment and the use of open spaces are effective in creating and shaping the urban identity. Among the monumental buildings, besides the prayer function of the mosques, socializing, meeting, gathering and so on for outdoor use. It is also important in the context of urban memory. Within the scope of this study, it is aimed to evaluate the transformation process of Kırşehir Ahi Evran Zawiya, which has been organized with different applications in the historical process, and to investigate the contribution of the indoor and outdoor spaces of the building to the urban identity. Every year, within the scope of Ahilik Ceremony, the role of the open space of the building being used for functions such as Fair, Performance and Ceremony in keeping the urban memory active has been investigated.
