Önceden beri Osmanlı tarihine karşı özel bir ilgimiz vardı. Onun için bu sahada çalışma yapmayı çok arzu ediyorduk. Bu fırsat nihayet böyle bir makale vesilesiyle elimize geçmiş oldu. Bu vesile ile Osmanlı tarihinin önemli olaylarından biri olan veziriazam katillerini araştırmaya karar verdik. Bu aşamada Osmanlı tarihindeki vezir katillerinin ilki olan Sultan ll. Mehmet’in vezirlerinden Çandarlı Halil Paşanın katledilmesi bu katillerin belki de içlerinde en kritik olanıydı. Osmanlı tarihindeki hem ilk vezir katli olması, hem de bu vezirin Osmanlı devletinin kuruluşundan beri Osmanlı hanedanıyla sürekli birlikte hareket eden Çandarlı ailesinin bir mensubu olmuş olması, mezkûr katli diğer vezir katillerinden ayıran önemli özelliklerden birisiydi. Biz de bu ilginçliğin peşinden giderek Osmanlı döneminin katledilen ilk vezir-i azamı Çandarlı Halil Paşanın katlini incelemeye karar verdik.
Bilindiği üzere tarihimiz hala aydınlığa kavuşmamış bir sürü meçhul hadiselerle doludur. Hiç şüphesiz bunlardan bir kısmını da katiller ve özellikle de vezir-i azam katilleri oluşturmaktadır. Bu tür hadiselerin mahiyetini anlamak ve aydınlığa kavuşturmak için gayretli çalışmalar ve araştırmalar gereklidir. Konu hakkında yapılacak olan araştırmalar tarihimizin gerçek yanlarını ortaya çıkarmak ve doğru bilgilere ulaşmak açısından da önem arz etmektedir.
İşte biz de ummandan bir katre misali de olsa, konu hakkında bir araştırma yapmaya ve ulaştığımız hakikatleri makalemizle ehline ulaştırmaya çalıştık. Araştırmalarımızda, imkânlarımız dâhilinde konuyla alakalı birinci elden kaynaklara göz atmaya gayret ettik. Bu çalışmamızda bizden yardımlarını eksik etmeyen tüm hocalarıma ve dostlarıma teşekkürü bir borç bilirim. Her halükarda tek yardımcımız Allah’tır ve O, ne güzel Mevla, ne güzel yardımcıdır.

As we know, our history is filled with a lot of misleading events that have not yet reached the light. Certainly, some of them are murderers, and especially the victims of the massacre. Strong studies and research are necessary to understand the nature of such events and to bring it to light. The research on the subject is also important to reveal the real aspects of our history and to get to the correct information.
So we have been trying to do a research on the subject, and to communicate the truth that we have reached with our members. In our research, we tried to look at the first-hand sources related to the subject within our possibilities. I am grateful to all my teachers and friends who don’t miss the help of us in this work. Our only assistant is Allah, and He is not a good Mevla nor a good Helper.
We have always had a special interest in Ottoman history. That's why we wanted very much to work in this field. This opportunity finally came to us through such an article. On this occasion, we decided to investigate the murderers of the grand vizier, one of the important events in Ottoman history. At this stage, the first of the vizier killers in Ottoman history, Sultan II. The murder of Çandarlı Halil Pasha, one of Mehmet's viziers, was perhaps the most critical of these murderers. The fact that he was the first murderer of a vizier in Ottoman history, and that this vizier was a member of the Çandarlı family, which had always acted together with the Ottoman dynasty since the establishment of the Ottoman state, was one of the important features that distinguishes it from other vizier killers. Following this interestingness, we decided to examine the murder of Çandarlı Halil Pasha, the first vizier of the Ottoman period who was murdered.
As it is known, our history is full of many unknown events that have not yet come to light. Undoubtedly, some of them are the murderers and especially the murderers of the Grand Vizier. Diligent studies and research are required to understand and clarify the nature of such events. Research on the subject is also important in terms of revealing the true sides of our history and reaching the right information.
So, we tried to do a research on the subject and to convey the truths we reached to its people with our article, even if it was like a carcass from the ocean. In our research, we have tried to take a look at first-hand sources related to the subject within our means. I would like to express my gratitude to all my professors and friends who did not fail to help us in this study. In any case, our only helper is Allah, what a wonderful Mevla, what a wonderful helper.
